Vikings on Swiss Halley’s ship!

swiss-halley-hotel-viking

The following post would not have been made about Hotel Viking but considering that the other hotel I had picked has no free dates (not only at Swiss Halley but on any other sites, either), let’s jump into Viking culture! I promise that this hotel welcomes its visitors with at least as many curiosities as the former ones, and all this is spiced up with Swiss Halley’s prices!

ps: Wait for the next post because a hote that is this occupied cannot be anything but good! :)

The accommodation mentioned is found in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. The hotel, true to its name, is made in Viking style so decorations and the restaurants nearby take us to the same world. At Swiss Halley, 3 nights for 2 persons is 295 USD at the end of January which is a very reasonable price because:

a) In addition to the three-course Viking dinner, we can also taste the traditional drink called Black Death, and to make the evening complete, we can also watch a fight thanks to the staff dressed in Viking costumes! :)
Between the two restaurants, there is a corridor, so we can get from one place to the other enjoying each minute of our stay.

 b) In the hotel, added to the usual facilities (bathroom, wifi, free parking), we also have the opportunity to relax in a natural hot spring. We can have sea-view, as well, so total recreation is guaranteed.

c) From Keflavik’s international airport there is a direct bus route to the hotel so we can reach it comfortably even if it is not situated centrally. Moreover, regarding that the hotel lies on the outskirts, it is perfect for calm relaxation.

The services listed above are persuasive even on their own but if it is still not enough, let’s see what we can do outside the hotel!

In Hafnarfjordur, the old town is a popular destination for tourists, but with a little travel, we will find a lot of attractions in Reykjavík, too – let them be a botanical garden, museum or church. For more lively activities, we can find here festivals or we can also go to the beach!
